The world-renowned Otto Schott Research Award is awarded for individual achievements, but also the work done by smaller groups. For more than three decades, this award has been presented every two years.
The Ernst Abbe Fonds is granting the award, that has been set up by the Carl-Zeiss-Foundation together with SCHOTT and ZEISS. The Stifterverband manages the Ernst Abbe Fonds which is responsible for funding the endowment of EUR 25,000.
