Otto Schott Research Award

The Otto Schott Research Award for outstanding scientific achievements was first presented in 1991. Since then, this award has been presented every two years to recognize excellent researchers for their scientific and technological achievements in basic research and applications in the fields of glass and glass-ceramic sciences in the areas of optics and electronics, solar power, health, and lifestyle.

The world-renowned Otto Schott Research Award is awarded for individual achievements, but also the work done by smaller groups.
